New Aliquot

New Aliquot plays bluegrass, new acoustic, and folk music. The repertoire consists of original songs, instrumental compositions, and special arrangements of some less-known roots music songs. The band was formed in 2016 when Pavel Duda (bass) joined Ondra Kozák (guitar), Vítek Hanulík (mandolin), and Karel Začal (dobro) who previously were members of the band “Křeni” (#1 European Bluegrass Band at the La Roche Bluegrass Festival 2009). All band members gained numerous experiences with award-winning bands and music professionals. New Aliquot won the 2nd prize in the band contest at the La Roche Bluegrass Festival in 2019 and released their first album It Takes Time the same year. The band organizes annual music workshops “Zlatohorská hudební horečka” and “Bluegrass Vegas” in Jeseníky Mountains (Czech Republic) where the band members reside.
