New Aliquot plays bluegrass, new acoustic, and folk music. Their repertoire consists of original songs, instrumental compositions, and special arrangements of roots music songs. The band was formed in 2016 on the basis of the group Křeni (#1 European Bluegrass Band at the La Roche Bluegrass Festival 2009) and has performed throughout the Czech Republic and various European countries (Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Slovakia). The band members have gained countless experiences with many bands and music professionals. In 2019, New Aliquot won second place in a band competition at the bluegrass festival in La Roche sur Foron, France, and released their first album, It Takes Time, in the same year. Their second album, Keep Going, was released in 2024. Every year, the band organizes music workshops called “Zlatohorská hudební horečka” and “Bluegrass Vegas” in the Jeseníky Mountains, Czechia. Since 2025, the band has been collaborating with leading European banjo player David Benda.
