In 2026, our band celebrated its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, we performed most of our concerts with banjo player David Benda joining us. In the winter, we went on a club tour, and in the summer, we mainly played at festivals (you can find a top-notch recording of the entire concert in La Roche sur Foron here). But that’s not the last birthday present.
The main one is the two-song single In My Next Life. It features two compositions by bandleader Ondra Kozák—the song In My Next Life, which appeared in a different version on the last album by Křeni (New Aliquot’s predecessor). And then there’s the instrumental Lost and Found, inspired by the story of a lost and rediscovered metronome. You can hear its swan song in the intro, and we reflect on its disappearance in the track itself through various rhythmic quirks.
You can listen to the single on most streaming platforms or below. Because we love you, we don’t ask for anything from you in exchange for listening to our new music. But if you like it, we’d appreciate a voluntary contribution to the band’s fund, which will allow us to record something new for you next time.
